Braving the pandemic situation some of the neighbouring Heads of States have participated in our Independence Day celebrations in March.We have,so far,comparatively successfully contained the outbreak and damage of the pandemic Covid in our country. We are setting new goals since we are being promoted to a new level of Development. It is a landmark to celebrate our Golden Jubilee and step into the 51st year of existence in flying colours. This year's Victory Day celebrations will be very special for various reasons. We are leading all the South Asian countries in many indicators of development and have surpassed our previous co-citizens from whose neo colonial exploitation we got liberated in 1971 in almost all sectors of economy and development. Our pride has increased with the fact that the World bodies have recognised that we are coming out of the bracket of our previous group of Nations in terms of development. The collective celebrations may have been less but the significance of the Year was well underscored and all patriotic Bangladeshis are proud of their origin. Both the Grand Gala occasions have been observed with due solemnity keeping all health restrictions and Covid protocols in place. Interestingly and incidentally the year coincided with the Centenary Birth Anniversary of Bangabandhu, the Father of our Nation. Though,because of stringent situations and health restrictions we could not observe the Jubilee with as much grandeur as we may have desired,we still have achieved the milestone and the world has acclaimed our feat. ![]() But prudent Leadership and Kindness of Almighty has guided us through this traumatic period with comparatively better statistics than many countries. ![]() Most of the countries of the world have come to virtual standstill achieving no growth or even a negative one. The whole world has been going through an unprecedented crisis (that comes may be once in a century) for close to two years now. We have been observing the Golden Jubilee of our Independence throughout a whole year and the 50th Victory Day in our Great War of Liberation of our great Motherland is just around the corner. We have not forgotten anything.we will not forget anything. The visit is also an occasion to take note of the width, depth, vitality and dynamism of contemporary ties between the two nations.This year's Victory Day celebrations will be very special for various reasons. The President's visit to Bangladesh will provide a new opportunity to renew India's bonds with Bangladesh. President Ram Nath Kovind is also scheduled to visit the National Martyrs' Memorial and the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.ħ. A delegation of Indian veterans will also meet the President.Ħ. ![]() The President is also scheduled to interact with the Mukti Jodhas', the people of Bangladesh who took up arms to fight for the freedom of their country during his three-day state visit to Bangladesh. The Victory Day Parade will have a 122-member tri-services contingent from India.ĥ. He will be the only foreign dignitary to attend the Victory Day celebrations in such a capacity. Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid invited President Kovind to represent India as a guest of honour at the Bangladesh Victory Day Parade.Ĥ. President is also scheduled to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen.ģ.
